Who We Are?

Our Mission

To put into practise the example and teaching of the Bible as seen most clearly in the life and character of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Also, to share the teaching of the Bible with as many people as we can, be they in Droitwich Spa or further afield.

Our priority is to help all residents of Droitwich Spa increase their spiritual health and well being by Christian teaching and practical action.

Key Bible Verses

The great commandment
Luke’s gospel chapter 10 verse 27 Jesus said “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.'”
The great commission

Matthew’s gospel chapter 28 verses 19 and 20

Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Core Values

1. Worship and prayer
This is our response to the Lord’s first commandment “to love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul and strength”

2. Teaching
Just before He ascended into heaven our Lord asked us to make disciples by teaching and baptising.

3. Witness
Our Lord’s charge to us all, is to be his witnesses

4. Pastoral Care
This is the working out of the Lord’s command to love one another.

What we believe

“Our Church is led by those who have made a sincere commitment in faith to follow Christ, and through their teaching and actions seek to show Christ’s love to all.

We welcome YOU – wherever you may be on your spiritual journey. We would love to walk alongside you and help you grow nearer to Christ, and as you come to experience fully His love for you.

Come and see how your life can be transformed through a deepening relationship with Christ, within His Church – within this loving family of God.”

We seek individually and together to express our devotedness to Christ and to deepen that relationship to Him, and so to glorify God. To help us in this, a minimal statement of Christian Doctrine is set out as follows:

We adhere to the fundamental truths of Christianity as revealed in Holy Scripture including:

  1. The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
  2. The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
  3. The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture as originally given and its supreme authority in all matter of faith and conduct.
  4. The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering men and women subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
  5. Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death (as our Representative and Substitute) of Jesus Christ the Incarnate Son of God.
  6. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  7. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective to the individual sinner granting him/her repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life.
  8. The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
  9. The one Holy Universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.
  10. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
